Why is it important?
The start of a new life is always a miracle. Newborn babies are just perfect, with their faces, yawns, stretches and tiny moves. And it all changes so quickly – it is great to capture those moments forever, not only for us to keep for years but also for them, to come back to and remember those gorgeous moments.
When is the best time for a newborn session?
If you like posed and styled newborn sessions, the first 2-3 weeks of the baby’s life are ideal for this. This is the time when baby sleeps a lot and does not mind posing and moving around. If you prefer more natural, lifestyle type of photos, there is no such limitation of time, they can be done at any moment. The most important is the comfort and wellbeing of the baby.
How does the session look like?
Safety is key and the baby is the boss! I am trained in posing the baby safely, and all the blankets and clothes used during the session and disinfected. Posed sessions take place in my home studio, lifestyle sessions take place in the comfort of your home. I adapt to the baby’s schedule, the baby needs to be well fed and rested to allow us to take pictures, so we do not rush and take time. We will agree the details beforehand and plan the meeting in detail.
Your experience during the photoshoot is the most important. I would like to take the stress out of you and make sure that we capture the baby and you looking your best. Siblings are more than welcome, and it is best to have the photos with them taken at the beginning of the session. I love to capture how close you are to each other, so that you can treasure it for a long time.
The newborn session lasts up to 3 hours because we allow time to change, feed an rest. During the session, I will capture images of you together, and the baby/children on their own.
What will happen after the session?
3-4 weeks after the session I will send you a gallery of beautifully edited photos for you to choose from. You will see the results of the session and decide on which package you would like to choose from a minimum of 20 images. You will also have a possibility of ordering wall art, album or other products a la carte.
